Assault in Brooklyn won Honorable mention in the Baltimore Women's Film Festival.  The awards were announced Sunday at Pazo Restaurant.  Assault in Brooklyn won its award in the "Competition for Best Film by a Local Filmmaker" category.

Assault in Brooklyn was announced as a winner of the 2008 Telly Awards.  The film won a Telly award in three areas: Silver for Editing, a Bronze for Social Issues, a Bronze for Religion and Spirituality. 'The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the Web.

Assault in Brooklyn has also won the Communicator Award Social Issues and Religion and Spirituality. 'The International Academy of the Visual Arts will now sanction and oversee the judging for the Communicator Awards competition and will provide strategic direction for the awards program. In its 14th season, The Communicator Awards is the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for Communications Professionals and recognizes the best creative work in the communications fields.
